Exemption Status: Non-Exempt (hourly)
Job Summary:
The Market Sales Associates will be the primary contact for customers visiting the Market. Successful candidates will be self-motivated individuals with positive attitudes and a good attendance record. Customer service and product knowledge are key to being a part of our team.
Duties/ Responsibilities:
- Responsible for providing excellent customer service.
- Process sales transactions, including taking payment and making change.
- Accurately reconcile cash drawers and sales receipts.
- Providing customers with a clean and well-organized store.
- Assist customers with product information and location within the market.
- Assist with merchandising, and product rotation.
- General housekeeping and display maintenance.
- Performs other related duties as required.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Exceptional customer service and managerial skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- High attention to detail.
- Basic mathematical reasoning to operate the cash register.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to follow instructions and complete assigned tasks in a timely way.
Education and Experience:
- At least two years of experience in retail.
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times.
- Must be able to traverse and access all areas of the market.
- Must be comfortable wearing PPE when required by management.
